Show and Tell: Our Visit to the Aqueduct Park

This past Sunday, the weather here was beautiful. I wanted to go do something outside. My first thought was to walk along the canal, but then I remembered the Aqueduct Park. I grabbed my camera then headed to pick up Mom and baby girl.

I was worried at first about walking along the rocks, but I was equipped with new water shoes. Audrey kept saying we were going on an adventure. Well, we were hopping from rock to rock over water and there were lots of trees around. We had a great time. We probably spent about 2 hours there. Funny how you can overlook the beauty of things in your town just because they aren't out in plain view.

I took lots of pictures. I was trying to capture the motion of the water and I think I did a decent job, considering I use a point-and-shoot.

Be sure to visit the Stirrup Queen to see what other stories people have to tell.

This weekend, we will be finished with our year long stint as a flower girl. Then, I have to decide about a sixth birthday party. And find a Georgia Bulldogs cheerleader dress for Halloween. And not stress out totally over the house and D.O.T. stuff that I don't even want to deal with but don't have much choice.

Have a great remainder of the week, ya'll.

  6. Good job Jennifer! :) It's amazing what you can do with a point and shoot huh? It will just make you more grateful for the ease of a DSLR when you finally get one, but they don't make you any more or less of a photographer! :)

  7. Thanks everyone for the great comments. Please excuse any typos. In the future, I need to remember not to type a blog entry when my Ambien is starting to work.

I had heard about this park but never imagined how pretty it was. I will admit I did slip once, but no injuries like my last rock-trekking experience.
